Buff Orpington is from Grassroots Kentucky, misspent his youth acquiring a whole bunch of skills and knowledge that don't appear on any official transcripts, and graduated from school fluent in three languages plus Hick.
He got hired by a TLA that shall remain nameless, and went places to do things that had to remain plausibly deniable no matter the circumstances....

Gina Torrano (pronounced more or less like that big city north of the ice wall) is an expert in all things that apply high velocity kinetic energy at a distance. She can plan combat ops for anything from a fireteam to a company, and when Buff needs rescuing, Gina is the gun girl who makes an exit corridor with overwhelming firepower and no small amount of badassitude.

James Bolivar is the entryman of the team. Whether it's knocking politely or using a 12 gauge master key, bypassing alarms, picking locks, blowing a hole in the wall *next* to an overly suspicious door, or doing hard entry room clearance, James has the reflexes of a ferret and the combat instincts of a honey badger. If Buff is Hicks, he's Hudson.

Liz Jolie may physically exist in realspace, but her mind is usually somewhere in the cloud, so to speak. A skilled white hat hacker before she could drive and a skilled black hat hacker once the agency had trained her up, she once managed to assassinate a [redacted] general using nothing but his Wi-Fi enabled SmartFridge and a toaster.

Markus Schroeder is the team combat medic in the same way that mountains are 'tall'. He is trained in everything from first aid ABCs to trauma surgery, and wears a red shirt so the blood doesn't show. Further, he believes strongly in the principle that his patients deserve the very best care and protection he can provide, which is why he carries a belt-fed light machinegun in the field.

Ocean Tyde's parents had a sense of humor, apparently, and while Buff and Bolivar might be Hicks and Hudson, Ocean is more like a kindergarten teacher who just wants both teams to have fun. The team's field fabrication specialist, she was building Lego technik at age three and 3D printed drone swarms before she could drink. Don't swear around her, she'll make the soap you wash out your mouth with.
